National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary
The large area of National Chambal park is shared by the three states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. This sanctuary is famous for the rare gangetic dolphin.
The sanctuary houses many other inhabitants like mugger, gharial, chinkara, samber, nilgai wolf and wild boar. One can find the nearest airport, situated at Agra, which is 90 km away from the sanctuary and nearest railhead is also at Agra.
It is one of the best places to see the Indian Skimmer. The best time to visit the sanctuary is November to February. This is a good day trip option when you are travelling from Bharatpur to Khajuraho or Corbett National Park via Agra.

Itinerary:
Day 01: Delhi - Agra
Connect train from Delhi to Agra at 0600 hr. Arrive Agra at 0810 hr. and drive to Patna Bird Sanctuary (2 hr.). Full day birding with packed lunch. Proceed to Chambal Safari Lodge via Agra in the evening. Overnight at the lodge.
Full day birding at River Chambal. Boat cruise & bird walks in the National Chambal Sanctuary for birding and wildlife viewing. This is the best river to see the Indian Skimmer and other water birds. There is a good population of gharial, mugger and six species of turtles. Return to Agra in the evening and connect train to Delhi at 2000 hr. Arrive Delhi at 2200 hr.
